So what are the fashionable colours now without going dark?

Get on Pinterest or Instagram and have a look and see what you like.

Grey in bathrooms is fashionable in modern bathrooms. Soft grey, large format tiles that you'd find in Porcelanosa. A sort of concrete colour.

Marble is becoming very fashionable, as is the 1930s look.

Patterned tiles also with panelling. Interiors are moving in a more 'traditional' direction.
Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Ha Ha! Me too. I hate retro.
I am of the age when so called "retro" was the thing in my day and I definately would not want to re-visit. It all seems been there / done that old fashioned.

Copper leaf sized straight on to the wall, then lacquered to seal and water proof. You asked?

White is timeless. Anything else is... remember avocado? :rotfl:

I planned to go grey but in the end I couldn’t resist these beautiful blue ones!

We've just had our bathroom fully tiled in these....

I absolutely love them even though our dark bathroom is only 7x8 feet it doesn't make it feel small thanks to an extra large bath, white ceiling with LED down lights. We had the tiles laid like in the photo with an off-white grout and the lighter square floor tiles in lines, it looks perfect, modern yet classic.

Our real house is 'classic neutral' - but I can happily indulge in my love of art deco in my dolls house. I've just finished the bathroom in there - and the tiling is very similar to the real bathroom shown in the picture.

I quite like art deco but that's a bit OTT for me.

I can imagine myself looking in that mirror and seeing Hercule Poirot looking back!
  • I'm quite nervous about my own bathroom now. I have gone for 30x60cm tiles on the walls (matte chalky white) and white gloss 60x60cm floor tiles.

Grey grouting so as not to discolour as much as white grout does.

I thought it'd look light and fresh, but now I'm worrying about it looking 'dated' in a few years..........
