Harlands / Xercise4Less

You appear to be dealing with two different companies, a gym and an introducer company.
You need to be clear who your contract is with and deal with them. From your description it sounds like xercise4less, but your dd seems to be going to the gym.I would speak to Hartlands as this seems to be where you contract is with, and xforless just takes the DD on their behalf (same practice with many rents)
The way I read this thread is the same as others on this topic previously - xercise4less is the gym company, with whom OP contracts, and they subcontract their DD collection to Harlands.exercise4less have a cancellation form on their website, which I linked to earlier. A complication seems to be that it looks like they have their own gyms as well as acting as an introducer - which is why I said earlier the OP needs to make sure they know who their contract is with.0 -

I think we get the picture now so you don't need to keep repeating this on someone else's thread, where it's adding no value....wouldbeqaulitymoneysaver2 wrote: »Harlands wants £200 for the privilege of cancelling my beloved membership without my permission.0 -

Thanks I didn't get that at all - I suppose I should have looked up who Harlands were.
Ignore my haverings!
It look as though a lot of people have had similar problems and the OP will have a fight on their hands.0 -
I used to be with X4L. Harlands handle the DD side of things. You sign up with X4L and get email from Harlands confirming DD amount date, etc. You cancel with X4L who then tell Harlands. That's not how it reads to me.
Notice given 9/6
DD taken 10/6
acknowledgement of notice 27/6
DD taken 10/7

OP you have confirmation by email so, first contact X4L and raise a complaint and get them to contact harlands. Did you not contact Harlands after the payment came out on 10/7 as technically that should not have been taken. Simply cancelling the DD because a payment was taken that shouldn't have been with the idea that they won't get any more, rarely works0
