Center Parcs guide discussion

You mention taking a chromecast in the tips but they don't work as they don't currently allow you to use WIFI that requires registration (as it it does at Centre Parcs). I'm not sure about amazon fire sticks.
You can get an Apple TV to register on the network but it requires a bit of messing around with mac addresses using a mac to get it to work.0 -
hallo,
i was searching for the beste deals voor centerparcs BE, NL, FR and DE
these 2 links are the best deals you will find they are in dutch but you can use google translate.
im Dutch but found this forum so i wanted to give you this.
tip: always look on the be, nl ,fr and de sites the prices are not the same for exact the same cottage
Not all parcs are in de links below because they are special pages and not all parcs are participate. If you look for the other parcs you need to go to the normal pages.
Goodluck.

Is Centerparcs really worth the cost? I've thought about going a few times but always been put off by the cost.
In September all the children will be in the same school again and we can take advantage of an inset day for a long weekend though we'd have to leave on the Sunday to be back for school Monday.
Quoted £599 for the weekend, we are an active family all into scouting, so enjoy the outdoor activities, I guess in the back of my head is that it may be a bit snobbish - granted that could just be the people I know of that go?

I've never thought so, but that depends entirely on your viewpoint. It's always seemed very expensive to me for what you get, but the prices reflect the target market.
The same thing in the Netherlands and elsewhere in mainland Europe costs considerably less (the post above yours might give you an idea) but in Britain the prices were much higher right from the outset because they managed to make the product look somehow 'upmarket'.
I'm sure it's not 'snobbish', but it's going to be more Waitrose than Asda I'd guess.0 -

We've been going for a long weekend in August for the last 3 years.
Of course there is the initial cost of normally £700-800, and that's for the standard x2 bed accommodation. However, beyond this it costs what you want to spend.
We eat out x2 nights out of 3. We have breakfast and lunch plus one night eating in our accommodation, with food I take with us.
Granted, my children are only 5 and 2, so they're normally pretty happy roaming around, using the outdoor play areas and the swimming pool. However, we do book the odd activity for my eldest to try, and we do hire bikes for a bit of fun.
We book early, so i've already booked for August 2020 - so we can now save towards the final balance, and the activities/restaurants we want to go to. Then in February, i'll book these all online, this way when we go we only really need to pay out for the balance of the meals out on the night.

Anybody tried to book on the NL site lately, I am getting an error when trying to book
"No status tag in the response" it wont let me get passed step 10 -
I fully agree that euro holidays are cheaper but I wouldn’t recommend flying as every Parc is miles away from airports and are all situated in forests and countryside. It’s vital to have a car to use them. You would need to factor this in with the cost. Much easier to drive then can take much more stuff. Also can use local shops off site and visit the local area.
