I have recieved a few spam emails from somebody called Lottosocial. they offer 10 lines on euro and 5 instant win games for £1. They say that its then £5 a week for 20 lines.
they ask for your mobile number so they can text you if you win.
I only ocassionally play the lottery but i might do this if it is legitimate.
i am concerned by two things - paying online and also whether they are just a scam......does anybody know please.
thank you

Not legally a "scam" but it maybe similar to numerous other sites out there where up to 90% or more of the money you pay them is not spent on tickets, a lot is normally used on "offers" to get more people in including offers to existing [STRIKE]fools[/STRIKE] players to get more people buying and of course lots of profit/"expenses" for them.0

Look at their siteThe maximum number of players that can be in each syndicate is 49. However, the majority of our syndicates have fewer than 49 players.
On their starter package you get a share in 10 euromillions tickets for £4 as do up to 48 other people - 10 tickets at £2.50 = £25 worth of tickets purchased but up to 49 players at £4 have paid £196
So a full syndicate on the starter package means less than 13% of your money is spent on tickets
The "pro" package at £7 for 20 tickets is £50 worth of tickets for up to £343 meaning less than 15% of the money taken in is spent on tickets for a full syndicate.
Even with as few as 13 members in a syndicate (starter) or 15 (pro) they would be spending less than 50% of the money on tickets (I would be surprised if the average syndicate size was not 40+)0 -
thank you
think i will stick to buying my own tickets occasionally then.0 -
my old man hasn't been checking his statements and doesn't use online banking and can't even really use a computer but somehow these guys have been charging him £14 a month for 2.5yrs, they don't respond to any enquiries, their website even looks shoddy0
