How old are the children?

The adults would be best off using a contactless card (debit or credit).
They will need one each.
You can travel as much as you like within central london for £6.80.0 -
Thank you they are 9,11, 14 and 16
is it better to buy a ticket from Sunbury to a central station and then just contactless or can we contact from Sunbury?0 -
Sunbury is not in the oyster/contactless charging zone so you'll need to buy rail tckets for that (probably to london waterloo).
The 9 year old can travel for free on tubes and buses (see link)

Most tube stations have gates which open once you tap your contactless card so you'll have to look for staff to let you through with your 9 year old. They are normally stood on one side by the wide luggage gate.
Which day od the week are you coming to London?
The tube is a quick way to get around but can be rammed at peak periods and hot.
Buses are slower but generally less crowded and can be a good way to get some good views of the city.
Depends on your route and whether you have the option to be leisurely.
If you can give some details there might be folks who are able to make suggestions.0 -
When staying at Sunbury and wanting to head into the city, we find it easiest to drive to hampton court and get on tube there, as its in zone 6. its cheaper to park for the day, than pay for train (espec when you are in a big group)0

Coming to London on a Thursday and will probably arrive early morning so we can have all day in london. Will look at Hampton Court for parking etc as that might be easier for us0

Do you know if I can buy the child travelcards from Hampton Court?0
