Hello All
My 12 year old DS is heartbroken because his PS2 is either refusing to play games or scratching them so that they become unplayable (have tried on his brothers PS2). Seems to play "some" DVD's OK, but has also rendered a couple of them unplayable.
Thing is I have no money to spare.....can anyone tell me please what they think is likely to be the problem and if it is fixable and if so how much and where do I go to get it fixed?
Failing any of the above - where is the cheapest place to buy a new one?
Thanks

 Oh No I do sympathise we have 3 boys who go to pieces at the sight of a flicker on screen...There are some good deals on at the moment for new ps2's seeing as they are trying to plug the ps3 for xmas.
Ebay has had some cheap ones but I think you would be better to try gamestation for a preowned one as they usually guarantee it for a while
I did have a site bookmarked for quick fixes I'll see if I can dig it up for you..Ours started to do this and we took it apart and cleaned it all according to the instructions and it is fine now (panic over!!)
