After all the 'green' taxes that are added to people's energy bills, all the freebie energy saving guff the energy providers are wastefully forced to give away to meet quotas, all the rank stupidity over the misguided smart meter roll out... after all that in the name of cutting energy usage, Ofgem still greenlights a tariff that virtually encourages you to waste electricity. You couldn't make it up!0

The rest of the time it is solely down to the energy company to do what ever they want. Like here with a massively expensive tariff for most people.0 -
OFGEM have no input into tariffs except for the price cap on certain products.

Thinking and OFGEM don't mix.
Of all the Government mandated regulators, they are the worst by far. And they seem happy about it too.0
