Need to prove house sale from 2001?

I've ordered the historical information which have all I need.
(bank statements from 2001 not possible I'm afraid)
I have phoned them and it is confirmation that I don't still own the property.
Thanks again0 -
Rather than guessing, why don't you find out exactly what it is they want to know? If you don't have any records, why do they suspect that you owned it in the first place?kathleen3737 wrote: »I guess they want to know that I don't still own the house?0 -
They know because the form asked and I told them. I don't have anything to hide.
All sorted now - the historical info will have all the information needed.

You can put the address in here - https://www.rightmove.co.uk/house-prices.html - that might show the sale, although it does not show who bought/sold it.
You could also ask your bank for bank statements from the time. It might take a week or 2 to get them but that would evidence money coming in to your account and who from (ie which solicitors).I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. So why do you need historical information then? Surely the title register that you downloaded from the LR which shows a different owner will suffice?0 -
What about the solicitor you used to sell in 2001? Could they not send you a letter?Gather ye rosebuds while ye may0
