Is resolver working?

Hi,

I have just escalated my case to Ombudsman using Resolver, I was asked to attach relevant documents which I did. I then downloaded my case PDF for me to keep a copy.

The document stated that uploaded documents were not sent to company? and the last few pages are corrupt showing all kind of weird text.

I have had an email stating that resolver has sent my case to ombudsman but I am questioning whether Resolver is sending the emails as I had no response from Santander which I was complaining about to so I filled out their own form on their website. I have had responses from them but to dat its been 24 weeks since I first complained with no outcome.

Do you think I should forget resolver and go directly to ombudsman?

Thanks.

Definitely. No point in using Resolver to add mistakes and delays into the process.

You can always add in your own mistakes and delays if you need to.

If Santander never got the complaint, then you should go back to them.

Resolver is not perfect. it is known to cause errors sometimes.

If you've heard nothing almost six months after sending the complaint, I'd wager they have never received it. There is no point "escalating" this to the Ombudsman if the Bank have never received your complaint in the first place.

How long ago did you complain direct? If less than eight weeks, the Ombudsman won't be able to accept your referral yet. Wait until eight weeks have elapsed. You won't be able to say your complaint is almost six months old unless the Bank acknowledged your complaint back then..

If I were you, I'd have forgotten all about using Resolver months ago. It's just a needless ( though free) third party.

Incidentally, questions about whether Resolver is working should be addressed to Resolver directly, no one here can answer whether it is or not.
