Does anyone know if a hard search on your credit file comes off to the date or at the end of the month?

Foe example a hard search was done on my credit report on 22nd Feb 18, will this come off on 22nd August 18 or will it still till 31st August? Understand they stay on but they stop affecting your score after 6 months...

Nothing affects your score since it!!!8217;s made up.

It will have less of an impact on your credit history after 6 months yes.

They will stay on your file for 12-24 months depending on the CRA

Thank you Gary. Just when I looked at my report it was showing in red as it impacted on my score. It was for a loan to consolidate all my debt and was only for a small amount of £3000.

Ignore the scores and ratings. They!!!8217;re made up.

For that amount I would post on the DFW board and get some help there.

You sure consolidation is the way, its just moving debt from a to b.
Just reduce your spending.
