CCJ - Lowell? Confusing info - what to do?

Options
Hello,

My credit report and the county county court business centre state that my CCJ judgement date is 10/07/2018 - i have tried to pay this CCJ today only to be told by Lowell that my CCJ is from January and i cannot have it removed, i can only get it marked satisfied? I mentioned to them about my judgement date but that didn't seem to matter all that much, their opinion is it is from January?

Is Lowell correct, or is the Judgement date correct?

Any idea on what i can do now?

Thank you so much!
:)

Have you checked your credit file, e.g. experian, to see what it says. Did you give lowell the same case number you got from the court.
    Either one of them misread the 7 as a 1 (or a 1 as a 7)
or you have two CCJ's for separate accounts!
  • Lowell could be referring to the default date.

    Hello,

Thanks so much for the message!

I explained this, too. Which they said was not the case. It is really scary and coming up with the money has been tough!

I keep reading so many different things... the .gov website says this:

"If you pay within a month
If you pay the full amount within a month you can get the judgment removed from the register"

So if my judgement day was 10/07 does that mean 10/08 is my deadline?
  • Yes correct.

To get confirmation of the judgement date you can either phone the court and ask or look on Trust Online Register but it will cost you to retrieve the records.

    Hello,

Yes - i've tried! I've given the same details - i'm hoping this is an oversight on their part!

Thanks so much for the reply :)
