Atkin & Thyme - £2k Spent and 8 out of 9 items damaged

Hi there,
Yesterday I received 9 items from Atkin and Thyme furniture company, 8 out of the 9 items were damaged, some more considerably than others (marble top for a coffee table cracked) e.t.c.
I am waiting for their customer services department to get back to me, but I have a bad feeling about it, having now read how other customers have been treated. Therefore, I want to get armed and ready for a battle, does anyone know what I can do if they refuse to assist?
Is there a sort of ombudsman for consumer products such as furniture?
Can I ask my bank to get involved in the transaction? I am assuming not.
Basically, do not purchase anything, ever from Atkin & Thyme, the company might look great from their website and their furniture could have been really nice (great materials for the most part) but their craftsmanship and durability and delivery is absolutely awful.

As above. How did you pay? Did you buy online?
The site looks very amateurish and isn't CRA compliant - with unlawful terms.
You may get a better response on the Consumer Rights board, ask a board guide to move the post.0 -
Thanks, umm how do I ask a board guide to move it?
I paid via Visa Debit0 -
Are the items customised for you or just standard stock?

Regardless of what you purchased (ie customised or standard) the items should have been delivered as ordered and items that are damaged are not what you ordered.

The Consumer Rights Act, the simplified version on the link above - will give you some guidance. But in short, you have 30 days to reject the items for a full refund. I am assuming that is your desired course of action?
To move your post, ask one of the board guides to move the post - the board - you can see the board guides names (with links) at the bottom of the page0
