Best place to get a service?

Hello car forum specialists,

I was wondering the best options to get a car serviced? It's MOT is due this month and have had it just under a year, so intending to get a service and MOT at the same time.

It's a SEAT Ibiza (3 years old) TSI petrol fyi - running less than 10k per year mileage

It's £218 if I go direct to SEAT (MOT and minor 12 month service)
It's £205 if I go Halfords Autocentre for same thing

Should I be considering other places? Is going local something I should be considering?

Any help would be great - thanks

Also - with the car, everything seems to be running great, with the exception of the steering. There is a slight resistance on the steering wheel trying to pull the car to the left (I've checked tyre pressures and treads and all fine). Also when breaking, there is resistance in the steering also. I was told this might be to do with the tracking, but not 100%. If it is this, what is needed to get this fixed?

If it has main dealer service stamp for year 1+2 and its still under warrenty might be an idea to get the SEAT service.

    Do NOT go to Halfrauds.
As the car is 3 years old, it will probably still have warranty on it.
For the small difference in price, take it to the Seat main dealers and they can sort out (if needed) anything that needs fixing under warranty.

At that age if you intend to sell it in the next couple of years a service book full of main dealer stamps will get you a higher price than one that has just enough main dealer stamps to see out the warranty then random garage. Most people expect main dealer stamps for the first 4/5 years.

It was first registered January 2015, so shouldn't be under warranty anymore. Looking like SEAT dealership is the way to go so far, unless anyone else has any suggestions?

If anyone has any idea on my post #2, that would be great also.

    Cheers

Tracking or alignment, sticking brake, PAS problem, or something is bent (though I'm guessing it's just geometry). If there's no actual warranty and you are just going for the coveted main dealer stamp, then you may want to get an indy to sort this out, rather than pay 3 times more the dealer to do it.
