Harry Potter Hamper - ideas please?

My MIL loves the HP films and as there is a new one out soon I thought I'd make her a night in hamper including the film as a christmas pressie.
Has anyone any ideas of what else to include using HP as a theme? Can you buy Bertie Botts Every Flavour Beans?

I'm sure there is a relevant hamper thread for this post but I can't decide which one it is so, BG's, please move it to the right place if necessary. Ta. xx

Oh my goodness, I would love this hamper. You can buy 2 books that JK rowling wrote for comic relief (on ebay not sure about in shops) called Quidditch through the ages and 'fantastic beasts and where to find them'

Loads of HP stationary about, why not wrap it all up and buy a white owl and put it on top as though 'Hedwig' has delievered the present

You can buy sorting hats, books ends, sweets (although they can be quite hard to find irritatingly!) make aharry potter bookmark off the web with some pictures, card and ribbon.

Harry potter mug, a replica wand (I have one!! how sad am i!), HP playing cards, a chess game (and re-name it Wizard's Chess).

If you find it hard to get the sweets, buy some normal ones, wrap them in small bags and add a label or tag to each bag calling it something out of the Honeydukes sweetshop (in some cases you can actually buy them) such as :

    sherbert lemons
    chocolate frogs
    ice mice
    jelly slugs
    Licquorice wands
    Fizzing Whizzbees (flying saucers)
    Acid pops (pear drops)
    ton-tongue toffee (normal toffee)
    canary creams (custard creams)
    polyjuice potion (bottle of coke??)

There are billions of memorabilia on the web and eBay. Oooh can you do me a basket preeeety please!?!

SPOLIER ALERT - DON'T READ ON IF YOU HAVENT READ BOOK 6 OR 7

Also could include some of the horcruxes - a necklace for the locket of Slytherin, your harry potter mug could be Hufflepuffs Cup, hairband could be the Diadem of Ravenclaw...and not sure about the sword of Gryffindor!!

Tesco had big plastic couldrons for a couple of pounds which would make a great 'basket. What about Potter Trivia book, I'm sure there must be some around. Hot chocolate with marshmallows is always great with a film, especially if you can get a HP mug. What about the wool to make a HP scarf? If she knits that is. I bet you could get the maroon and orange/yellow quite cheaply and no pattern needed. Book on reading tealeaves? Or just some nicely downloaded info on it (divination, a very woolly subject I believe lol). I wonder whether this isn't a suggestion too far but my daughter tells me that mugglenet.com has all the filming locations on. Could that inspire something? Maybe a homemade voucher promising a visit to one of them in the future?

It's such a lovely idea, what a lucky MIL you have.

Maybe you could make your own Harry Potter trivia quiz (there's loads of helpful info on the 'net), print it out and bind it into your own personalised booklet for her? I did something similar for a HP-themed halloween party for my kids a year or two back - it was a great success :)
