Loft Conversion no proven buildings regs - renegotiate price - help!

It's extremely difficult for a local authority to enforce building regs such a long time after the work was done. It really depends if you're content that the property is safe. If I was selling I wouldn't be looking to drop the price. There's always an indemnity policy also.0

Some loft conversions are difficult to sort out if the span of the roof is too narrow. What you would get is a long narrow room with hardly any head room. A room where you could only stand up right in the middle. If it was loft conversion like this you might have to completely alter the roof in order to get two bedrooms in the loft. That would be likely to cost more than £20k.0
