I've got savings of £3000. I would of had more, but I decided after years of paying off debt and I told myself when I get a comfortable emergency fund (at least £2000) I would treat myself to a holiday. I've booked it, paid for it all in CASH! Not a credit card in sight and I've changed all my money too, I've put some money aside for new clothes-been a while since I went on a proper holiday. So all sorted and I've paid for it out of my OWN MONEY!! I know that might sounds silly to make such a big deal, but I haven't paid for a holiday in my own cash for years-it was ether on the credit card or some kind of loan was taken out!

I remember years ago (way before LBM moment) I was on a two week holiday and to fund my spending money I took out a pay day loan-ridiculous!! I spent most of the holiday on edge, constantly checking added interest, thinking which payday loan to take out next to pay this one off etc. Was far from and relaxing holiday and a holiday that o should never of gone out! Oh well, we learn-eventually!

I've had soooooo many birthdays since Jan and a lot more big birthdays coming up, I've been buying bits along the way, but realised I really need to set I limit as spending far too much. Probably making up for all those years of either no present or rubbish ones, but they coped without my spending a fortune then so I'm sure they'll cope now too.

I did want to have more saved, but I always wanted a break-I know this is a want, but we need some rewards, don't we?

I'm still working two jobs and getting ahead monthly/two monthly with bills etc. Bill money is in a seperate account and buffered up for each bill to be paid twice over (if that makes sense) incase I have a month of something expensive coming up, I know they are already taken care of. I'm not counting this money in my emergeny fund because it's already accounted for.

Well, off to work a 12 hour shift, but at least its debt free and I won't be spending whilst at work!

    Nearly weekend! :-)
