Pest Control - Heat Treatment

Hello
I wasn't sure where the best place to ask this was. Apologies if it belongs in another forum.
I've got a 3 bed house in Chadwell Heath, RM6. But it we seem to have a bed-bug problem  I've tried using 4.5star rated (over 100 reviews) pesticide bed-bug powder from Amazon, but that hasn't worked.
Reading up on these crtitters online, it seem some can be immune to pesticides and the only guaranteed solution is heat treatment. I've messaged some local pest-control company, asking for quotes.
But while I was waiting, I wanted to see if anyone here had done the same thing, and what kind of prices would be reasonable?
Thanks

yep, heat kills them, but the blites hide in small cracks and crevices in the room. Tried the hot temp wash (over 50oC for at least 90mins) on all bedsheets, pillow cases, pyjamas, etc. but they're still there0 -
I saw a programme on the TV a while back where they sealed the house and super heated it all to 60 degrees centigrade. That cooked 'em.

Is the house detached? There was an example on TV where the bugs came back in from an attached property, in which case the heat treatment didn't work.0

Hi
Try your local Council or the British Pest Control Association, one of them should be able to help (I hope)Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)0 -
I saw the same programme. I had bed bugs in a house, paid to have it treated (with a professional offering a guranatee). But they came back after a year. Then I got rid of them with a bed bug pack I ordered online. Was a lot of work but they didn't come back. However, I suspect the problems originated from a neighbour judging by the items that were thrown out and the next people moved in, decorated and moved out within six weeks. I suspect the house was treated then. Our bed bugs were only coming from that side of the house, strangely enough. Only got as far as rooms on that side I mean.
I know there are reports of bed bugs becoming immune to chemicals but I used steaming and chemicals and powder and they didn't come back (and washed all bedding). I think heat treatment is great, if you know there is no outside source of the infestation that can't be treated but personally, I dread to think of the energy cost.0 -
Make sure you message specialist bed bug treatment companies, I say this from experience of when I had these over 10 years ago now.0
