If you're in town a walk around the river is nice. Depending on how long you want to walk for you can go from roughly ormeau direction down nearly as far as the Odyssey then cross the bridge and walk back on the other side. if you want to make it longer you can then walk up the other side of the river (past annadale flats) to King's bridge...

Sorry to interrupt the thread, but seems like the right place to ask. Does anyone know any good walks down in the Castle Espie area. It needs to be somewhere were I can let my dog walk off lead and not to close to any roads. I do not know the area that well so please be detailed. Thanks in advance.

I'd say down by the Ramada at Shaws bridge. Be careful not to send out the wrong signals though - doggers central

Yep djk, I was going to say Belvoir Forest Park too. Spent some lovely afternoons up round there

Instead of Crawfordsburn to Bangor, what about the other way round? That way you've got the Old Inn at the end
