I had a ccj from Lowell which I paid within the 1 month and it had been removed, Lowell have now registered a default for same amount but now saying satisfied. Can they do that. I never had a default before this just went straight ccj.

Lowell buy debts from other people.
There must have been a default for the debt (whatever it was) to have been sold on.
Lowell should record the date of the original default. If they have applied a new one, complain.0 -
It was defaulted 4 years ago the date of default is 2014 on credit report. How much of an impact will that have now?0

Depends on the lender and the type of credit you are after. It's not great but it's also not the end of the world.0

There will have been a default before, but it's possible the default wasn't reported to the CRAs. Lowell will have bought it and would have registered it. If it wasn't on there before - was it at an old address? Might not have shown up before of CRA report if addresses weren't correctly linked on CRA.
Either way having the default is correct and should show satisfied. When you check the date, check the default date not the satisfied date0 -
Thanks all. Looks like I got 1y and 6 months to go0
