Getting out of using purple bricks conveyancing?

Hi,
I sold my house with purple bricks and delayed my payment so i am contracted to use their solicitors. Ive now had quotes from them and read their reviews and don't want to use them.
Ive read on the internet that you can pay a £350 fee to get out of this? anyone have this experience?

And I though my post highlighting they were bad wasn't helpful.

It worth paying the £350 imo, as long as you're sure who you're using instead is good. Ask friends or family for recommendations.

I'm assuming by 'sold' you actually mean you have accepted an offer? If you do actually mean 'sold' then you will have to pay them for the work they have done as they have completed the transaction.

I don't think you understand PB's fee structure

PB charge you a 'Product Service Fee' for advertising your property - it's payable whether the property sells or not.

You can choose to 'Pay Now' or 'Pay Later'.

If you choose to 'Pay Later', and you choose not to use PB's conveyancer - then you have to pay an extra 'Administration Charge' of £360.

(The OP wants to avoid the £360 'Administration Charge' - but that's almost certainly not possible.)

If the property is now sold then the conveyancing work is done.

Nothing to do with PB's fee structure. I think you misunderstood my point which was the distinct and important difference between accepting an offer, and actually selling a property.

Do not use this company. Our vendors are using them. We nearly pulled out of purchase because of their incompetence. Pay the fee and get a real conveyancer.
