Euro Car Parks charge from 34 mins in Esso Garage

Hi guys,
Just after a bit of advice in case anybody as received a similar fine for overstaying time in an Esso Petrol Station and issued a parking charge notice for £100 by Euro Car Parks.

I was very tired when driving recently and looked for the first petrol station I could find to have a quick power nap. I parked in Esso Broadway Bexkeyheath and used one of the parking spaces. I actually went into the shop and purchased coffee and had a power nap and was there for 34 minutes in total.

Obviously I want to appeal this as feel the charge is unfair as I only wanted to stop as I was so tired but I was also actually a customer in the shop.

Would you have any advice as to what I should say in the appeal? Would I be better off explaining like I just have done or I saw how other people had been appealing with a lettter with lots of clauses saying how it is an unfair charge.

Any advice would be massively appreciated.

all covered by the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread near the top of this forum , including your appeal template , because parking companies do not care about "what happened"

as for the best thing to do, complain to the landowner and get them to cancel the pcn with PE, that is by far your best option

There's a ready made one for you to use in the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #1.

    Absolutely not!

Read the sticky (post #1 will do for now) about not identifying the driver then apply what you've learned to edit your post above.

Have you complained to the ESSO Garage and asked them to intervene and get this cancelled for one of their customers?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
