Landlord not fixing bathroom.

Our main bathroom in our flat has been left in this mess for four months now:

We do have an ensuite shower and toilet to use but it is very very small and we didn’t mind for the first couple of weeks while things were being sorted...
I have numerous text messages with Landlord about the main bathroom being fixed. But nothing has happened and I just cannot believe it’s been left in this mess for 4 months. We have continued to pay our rent and haven’t asked for any deductions.
Where do we stand notice wise? Would we still legally have to give 1 months (2 months?!) notice to move out, even though the living conditions aren’t really upto healthy and safety standards? It has an awful rotted wood smell too. It’s been awful during these hot few weeks.
When was that taken?
Because if that's recent - rather than back at the start of the saga - you STILL have a leak... No wonder it smells wet. Look at the bottom centre of the image... That would have dried out months ago if the leak was resolved.0 -
That photo is from a few months ago. It has dried out now. I think. Tbh I haven!!!8217;t opened the door in weeks to look coz it just annoys me.0

The landlord doesn!!!8217;t sound like he cares much about you. He should be giving you some kind of compensation for having to live with that, and not fobbing you off with empty promises. I!!!8217;m pretty sure you didn!!!8217;t agree on the rental price and expect to have that in your property. Has he given any kind of explanation as to why nothing has been done?0

how many rooms are in the property. If e.g 2 bedrooms, a bathroom (ensuite is part of bedroom) lounge and kitchen then that is 1/5 of the house you are paying for but can't use. Ask for a 1/5 rent reduction backdating to when you couldn't use the room and continuing until he sorts it.I am a Mortgage Adviser

Personally I would report it to whichever authority can investigate - it looks unsafe, unhealthy and you are paying for something you cannot use.0

However you do have a working bathroom in the shape of an ensuite. You may be able to negotiate with your landlord for a rebate but the property does remain habitable so not sure you could end your tenancy without notice based on this.
What is the current situation with the landlord and have you actually put anything in writing rather than by text?
The room is not habitable and had no doubt been advertised as working. To me it's misdescription.0
