I concur with a lot of the posts on here.

I don't believe that debt or money issues should be a deal breaker for any relationship, however if he is willing to end your relationship due you not wanting to go on holiday, then he was never really worthy of you in the first place.

Just imagine if you had given in to this demand. Where would this have ended? He would have been throwing a strop and issuing ultimatums every time you disagreed with him over anything.

A big red flag for me was him changing his name. He sounds like the sort that would have kids here there and everywhere and not claim responsibility for them.
