It will be an identity check. What did it say when you read the application form in regards to checks?0

An employee check can sometimes be merely to verify your identity so will not look at any financial history at all. If it is one that does include financial history then it will look at public information - CCJS, bankruptcies, voluntary arrangements, decrees and administration orders - not a full credit check.0

..... Unless it's a financial company then they will check everything.0

Depending on the level of security.
List-X sites such as Military contractors will check everything, from financial status down your political leanings.
Some basic disclosure checks like disclosure Scotland will check your address for id purposes and check that you are not listed for fraud, police check however bankruptcy status has no relevance for a basic check unless you are working for a financial institution or applying for a directorship.Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0 -
DPD are a courier firm, it will of been a simple identity check.
One reason they do this, is, believe it or not, drug dealers are posing as applicants for driver positions, using false ID, as soon as they get accepted, they are taking the company vans and using them to ferry drugs around or to sell drugs from, quite common in large cities apparently.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. :rotfl:
DPD have a tracking mechanism in their vans now, both for the customer to see when their parcel is going to arrive and the monitoring of service.
I would imagine with the tough quotas drivers now face, it would be quite difficult to pull the wool over their eyes with a side business of drug deliveries. I am sure there are attempts at it though...
The identity check is also to provisionally validate your information, aside from the standard checks like entitlement to work and photocopying the employee's documentation e.g passport etc.Advice provided from this account does not consist of any professional knowledge.
