Leaving ADT

Hi there,

I have had a monitored ADT alarm for many years that I recently stopped the contract for. ADT want to charge me £120 to disconnect the system and make it standalone so I can continue to use it myself. Is that fair? I've been a loyal customer for years and have paid many years of premiums.

Thanks,

Mark

As above. If that's what you signed up to, it's fair.

ADT have so many extra charges. signed up to them at a grand designs show and gave £99 deposit, a few months later found a local company that were much more reasonable. Called ADT to cancel and get deposit back and advised that I had been sold the system via a 3rd party (even though the stand was a ADT stand) but they couldnt give me their details and all the details I had been given were ADT contact details.
