Smart motorway cameras
I am just curious how this works...
Lets assume I am going 70mph and as I get close to one of the signs it changes to say 60mph or even 50mph (assuming they can drop by more than 10mph in one go), how long after the change do you get before the camera would take account of it - if that makes sense?
I am just thinking to slow 10mph short of slamming the brakes on can take a few seconds by which point you may have gone past the sign and the camera.

It's about 30 seconds IIRC - if you can see it change then you should be OK, and should be able to gently slow down to the new limit.0

The standard spec for the Hadecs3 cameras is for a 1 minute delay after any change in the displayed limit before the cameras detect at the new displayed limit.0
