Bath Mixer tap

We need yet another bath mixer tap - the fourth in 14 years - the reason being the washers go on regular occasions (presumably hard water) - the taps never want to release their grip easily and I end up destroying the "handle" when trying to take them apart !

I am considering spending a bit more and getting ceramic washers - what brand ?
Does 1/4 turn equate to ceramic (they don't always say)...... ?

If it were me I'd pop into my local plumbing shop and ask the very helpful chaps behind the counter for their advice. They'll be able to recommend a decent tap rather than shoddy DIY store stuff

You can get tools for "pulling" tap handles. If that's the problem.

City Plumbing have their own range: iflo, and they have a 10yr guarantee on both the tap and 'washer', worth considering, I've installed loads and never been called back.
But to answer your question, ceramics are 1/4 turn in all cases.
