    Ive taken to cutting out the clumps protecting her skin and getting a comb inbetween where possible! How one cat can get so clumpy when the others are great is beyond me!? Guess shes a lazy groomer!
    Oh well she probably looks worse now, and only a little bit of hissing

    I have a vicious little minx of a cat who basically hates any form of touch other than on her head!

    She seems to have really hick short hair with maybe a winter coat still underneath with a few mats on her back legs, anyone have tips on how to brush her without getting eaten or clawed in the process... I love cats !!!128560;

    I feel yor pain, have similar creature, and just strayed a thread on how to tackle this with one that is same in behaviour but ancient and skinny. If mine was younger, I agree with jojo’s burrito post if you can do it, just had to do this with mine to clip her nails with 3 people. It didn’t work with my old one for the hair though as she is too skinny,old, and stressed with it.

    Good luck.
    Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.

    I have just bought a slicker from Pets at home.

    It’s the ‘groom room’ one with bamboo handle for medium to long coats, even though mine is short haired. She appeared to prefer the feel of this brush on her and tolerated it much better, it is very soft. It may be worth a try for your little bundle of joy. :)

    She has actually started grooming here more after giving her a hair cut! I guess the matts were irritating her before! Blooming kittys hard work!

    :D. Yep, sure is. I am still at it with mine doing a little at a time......days later.

    She’s looking really good now, just got back legs and some underneath to do. Will likely have to get a brave pal to hold her up to do this properly. She is actually much better with new slicker though so not attacking really. :j

    Buy a cats glove. Much easier to brush and cats usually love it.

    I imagine these are great for the top coat but not for deep matts in lower layers close to skin.
