Bagsahead - Any Good?

Ryanair has pi**ed me off...big style!
And I'm sure I'm not the only one to suffer at their hands. I won't bore you with the details of their exorbitant baggage charges as I know you've heard it all before. I have however, been looking at the Bagsahead luggage delivery service. Has anyone here used them before and if so, are they any good? Whilst the MSE write-up seems positive and the Bagsahead feedback is all wonderful, I wanted to hear the views of the real experts before parting with my hard earned.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance and apologies if this thread is already running some place else.

Well, I for one won't be using them. Just got a quote for an upcoming trip and they want over four times what I paid the airline. Plus I need to give it to them four days before I leave and I don't get back until four days after I return.

Just take less stuff with you and launder/ dry clean clothing half way through your stay and still have change for a bottle of something to drink.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

My husband used Send My Bag for the first time this week. His suitcase was collected on Tuesday and has arrived today at his hotel in Germany.
The service is trackable the whole way and the cost was £28 each way for a large suitcase weighing 20kg, so just a little more than easyJet would have charged. My husband has mobility issues at the moment and uses Special Assistance to transit through airports, but he's really looking forward to not having to manage his bag on and off buses and trains at the other end of these journeys. It's worked like a dream and he's very happy with the service indeed. He was provided with a reusable label pouch and clear instructions at every step.
I won't be using the service for these kind of trips; for me the having to send your bag so early and have it return 2 days after you do is a definite disadvantage. For example I don't want to have to buy another set of hair straighteners or particular pair of shoes (eg) to use whilst I'm at home and my bag is on it's way to or from my destination.
However I do see the value in it for some and we'd recommend Send My Bag based on this first experience.0 -

Why not fly with someone else?0 -
@Ganga. Good question. I'd already booked!
I thought I'd have a few days before I could check the luggage and get the lower rate. I soon learned however that Ryanair can raise their charges within a few hours of booking. Strange one that when you consider I don't fly out 'til 23rd August!
@Placitasgirl. This is what I'm talking about! I've read some great reviews and feel quite positive about things. I'll look into getting some additional insurance just in case.
@richardw. I like the cut of your jib sir...especially the drink bit. :rotfl: I will be swilling out a few things out whilst I'm there for sure.
@Gloomendoom. I'll be sure to pack things 'I can afford to lose' so to speak. I won't pack things like my camera, mobile phone and any real essentials. Nor will I pack things I'll need to use when I immediately get back home either. You say you got a quadruple quote?! Strange one that. Thanks for the tip anyway.
Thanks for all of your tips and comments. I'll get a quote and see how I get on. Thanks again.
