DECT phone with base station battery backup

I don't use my landline much, but in the case of emergency, it is nice to have something if I need to dial 999 without any hassle. I was once in a building where the fire alarms went off in the middle of the night and then the power went out but I couldn't use my DECT cordless phone as the base station (bit that plugs into the phone line) had no power. Given how cheap a little backup battery would be, are there any DECT phones with a battery backup in the base station?

Have not seen one for years and that was a prototype.
Get a small UPS would be my suggestion.0 -
Well there is this one https://www.johnlewis.com/panasonic-kx-tgf320em-combo-phones-and-answering-machine-with-nuisance-call-blocker-single-dect/p2072011The 2-in-1 Phone has a power back up operation allowing you to continue using the base in case of a power cut by using two AAA batteries.0

The other option is a conventional cheap hard wired phone plugged into the same socket with a dual adaptor.
Not quite so 'high tech' but it works!0 -

Wouldn't help if you're with Virgin and there is a power failure.0 -
Yes, that's one of the downsides with the cable network. At least Openreach have massive battery backup at the exchange which keeps the phone working in the event of a power outage.0
