can someone help me please?
my partner bought a fire mountain bbq last May and has used it about 30 times since date of purchase- he bought this from Ebay and paid by paypal.
the other day the bbq went up in flames when we were doing a bbq for friends. we have contacted the manufacturer who said because we are outside of the warranty of 1 year there is nothing we can do. we had to answer about 16 questions around what happened at the time the bbq went up in flames and they still have disregarded this. the bbq we have is the most expensive that fire mountain sell and believe after 30 uses if that, the bbq should not go up in flames
does anyone have any advice in fighting this please?

How can a BBQ , which is mainly metal , go up in flames ?Ex forum ambassador

The onus is on your to proof that the BBQ is faulty and that fault is inherent to manufacture. This is something I'll think you will struggle with.
Also and rights you have are with the seller not the manufacturer, assuming it wasn't a private sale on ebay.0 -
Who did you buy it off? A trader or an individual selling it second hand?0

How did the fire start?
Did the food catch alight?
Was there too much fat dripping down?
Was there food debris sticking to it?0 -
How much was it and how did you store it?0
