B&Q kitchen doors

We bought B&Q kitchen just over 2 years ago within a few months of kitchen being installed water dripped down from sink and affected the doors so they partially blew! This happened to other doors too which b&q sent replacements. Back in December steam affected the wall unit doors so I got in touch again with b&q sent photos etc spoke to mananger several times got to a point where they said they just replace the doors again but still not replaced. They then decided to send someone out to come and inspect the doors who decided that the problem is wear and tear not a fault with the doors, so as a gesture of goodwill they will let us have new doors with a 50% discount! If I get an independent surveyor to agree that this isn’t wear and tear then they will replace for free. Is this acceptable?
My point being that kitchen doors should be able to stand up to moisture I.e. steam drips of water etc without causing noticeable problems my previous kitchen was an end of line bought out of a newspaper and I never experienced anything like this.
Should I accept the 50% discount on the doors or push for free replacement. This kitchen is less than 3 years old!

It's up to you what you deem to be acceptable. If I were you I would find out how much it will cost to get it independently inspected before I did anything else. If you get it inspected and it's found to be inherently faulty, B&Q should replace for free and cover the cost of the inspection. Unfortunately if the inspection doesn't show that it's inherently faulty you will be out the cost of the inspection plus the extra 50% cost of the new doors. I assume B&Q were responsible for the fitting of the kitchen as well? Otherwise they may argue that something in the fitting is causing these problemsWell informed on the subjects of sofas and wood furniture, and well opinionated on everything else :rotfl:0
