"Get your two 4K/UHD movies on us!"

I've recently bought a new Sony TV. One of the inducements to buy is the offer of two free 4K/UHD movies via Google Play.
Am I right in thinking that even though it's a free offer, you still have to enter card details and go through the process of apparently buying any film(s) you want, hopefully safe in the knowledge no charge will actually be debited from your account?
Thank you.

Why don't you simply check the details of the offer by signing up for it?whattochoose wrote: »Am I right in thinking that even though it's a free offer, you still have to enter card details and go through the process of apparently buying any film(s) you want, hopefully safe in the knowledge no charge will actually be debited from your account?
If it prompts you to enter your card details (and you don't want to) then decline the "offer".0 -
Thank you for your reply. Yes, you're right I can do that. Just thought I'd pose the question just to see if any other members had taken advantage (or not) of this offer.Moneyineptitude wrote: »Why don't you simply check the details of the offer by signing up for it?

Rather than entering card details for a service I'm unlikely to be using, I was hoping they might have provided a code which could then be used to redeem the offer, but unfortunately not.0 -
I've 'bought' free items via Google Play before and was able to delete my card afterwards.0
