CarWow

Hi
I’m due to change my car and I’m wondering if anyone has used carwow? I’ve read reviews and they all sound great but always good to hear people’s opinions

If you did use them can you advise on any issues you came across and if you traded your existing car too

Thanks in advance

Last time I bought a new car from a dealer I went equipped with some of their quotes and found that useful when s salesman quoted a rather larger price than I wanted to pay.
I believe only some dealers will do part exchange. There is usually as note next to the deal to say if they do or not.

Yes I have used them for quotes.
You get 5 quotes from different dealers and the system is set up so that it is very easy to email a dealer with further questions etc.
But also get quotes from the other internet brokers who will also put you in touch with usually only one dealer.
In either case, once you have decided on a dealer you only deal with them, not with carwow or the broker.

I have had qutes from them and found it to be an aid to encouraging your more local dealer to 'deal'.

do ensure you 'build' the car to the specification YOU want, as some dealers may quote for existing stocks, which may not have exact match to your desired options.

Also consider the costs involved in travelling a greaet distance to buy, instead of staying local. Plus for a few hundred £££ wouldn't keeping the supplying dealer AND servicing dealer the same, if you have any issues or fauts later in ownership?

When I bought my current car (Qashqai) I used them and got several quotes that were around 10-15% off the list price. However I then found a better deal (25% off) by buying a pre-reg, strangely from one of the dealers that had responded via CarWow.
  • I traded in my old car took delivery of my new one just before Christmas having placed the order back in September via carwow.

Once carwow have obtained the quotes for your desired vehicle and specification you deal directly with the dealer of your choice.

The only minor comment I would make is that the handover had all the romance of taking delivery of a company car!

There is no need to visit the dealer. Mine was delivered on a trailer from 200 miles away. Balance only paid when car unloaded and inspected.

Carwow will normally state on the dealer page whether that dealer will deliver or not. Bought my last new car via them, ended up being a pre-reg from the cheapest dealer within reasonable reach (barring somewhere in Truro that would have saved me £200) that had responded on Carwow.

Helps to cut out a lot of the "Whats your best price", "No, whats your best price", "No, whats your really best price" back and forth you normally get.
