red light camera
Hello
I was wondering if someone could give me some info
I passed through an amber light which has a safety camera
My front wheels passed through on amber however by the time my rear wheels passed over the line the lights turned red. Will this lead to an offence?
Many Thanks for any advice

No way of knowing either way but I very much doubt the time from amber to red would be a car length, so it was on amber before you got to the lights, we were either driving too fast to stop or didnt notice the light on amber.
Only time will tell.0 -

Yes, you have committed an offence. Whether you were caught on camera time will tell. They have 14 days to serve a nip on the registered keeper.0 -
It's an offeñse for any part of the car to cross the line once the light is red; so it sounds like you might. You'll find out in the next 14 days0

There is usually a "grace" period of 1 second after the light turns red before the RLC is active.0

How fast were you going? It might have been the Doppler effect.

That depends entirely on how fast the car was going.0 -
