Cancel telephone order 3 months old?

Bought expensive kitchen worktop by telephone, paid by credit card. Company needed to order from manufacturer.
Never received any written confirmation of order, terms and conditions etc, electronic or otherwise. There are no T &C’s on the company’s website
Had to chase company to check they had obtained the goods some 4 weeks later. They have been with the company for 6 weeks or so, awaiting our instructions on cutting and delivery.
We have now changed our minds about the worktops and wish to cancel the order. The company are reluctant to do this. As we have never received the goods into our possession are we able to cancel the order even at this late stage?
As we never received any information about our right to cancel – is the companys refusal to cancel the order illegal, contrary to the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013?
