I've been a bit bad and treated myself to a few new hair care goodies. I'm actually going to try and different brand of shampoo and conditioner. They've not arrived yet but I'm looking forward to finishing my current shampoo and conditioner to try a new shampoo and a new conditioner. It probably won't be until next month but I'm excited to try a sulphate free shampoo.
I'll post them as INs when they arrive0 -
Small question from me, can you stay on this thread even if you're doing so so badly and just keep buying stuff, I mean I've managed to say no to some but not to others, I am quite easily swayed at the moment. No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2023

asajj Thanks for the heads up on the Nip+Fab, I had been looking at their display last week, but wanted to do some research, so your advice of the sale saved me a fortune:A
I now have quite a lot of INs to report, but the shower creams and hairsprays were necessary (1 of each for the house and 1 each for the caravan).

As another poster said, we all have moments. If posting here helps you in some way then it’s working. Would you spend uncontrollably if you didn’t post.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Another two UU to report:
Ren vita mineral moisturiser. WBA. This is a regular favourite but have a few samples and others to get through before I buy again.
Talika cleanser. WNBA. Sample, was good for a single use.Not buying unnecessary toiletries 2024 26/53 UU, 25 IN0 -
I acquired a bedside cabinet at the weekend. One draw is now full of cold remedies/pain killers and over the counter meds.
The middle has perfumes and makeup.
The top cabinet is full of skin care and closely resembles one of the drawers at a department store concession.
I still have two bags and a box full of skin care but at least now have some room to breathe in the two bathroom cabinets.
And have managed to not buy from the L'Occ flash sale and avoid the temptation of the summer LE C&P.
But clearly have got to keep on saying no.
This thread helps me do that.
If it helps you too in any way at all, keep posting.0 -
One UU tonight:
Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Tencel Sheet Mask WDBA and will do in the future. A nice soothing sheet mask to calm my annoyed skin.0 -
I have finally TA Benefit Benetint mini I have had lurking in the drawer for a while. It has definitely gone off and I never really liked this. I found the brush odd and hard on my skin, the product difficult to blend. It dries too quickly too so if you aren't quick enough to blend it, you will end up with red a stain/line on your cheek
It always gets good reviews so perhaps it would work for some but didn't work for me.
I have decided to UU some of the half travel sizes/deluxe samples I have (too many of them waiting to be taken for a holiday that never comes). I also selected 4 makeup products to sell. For September, I will try and not to buy anything with the exception of Estee Lauder Idealist Serum - I have been wanting to buy this for a while and I have some vouchers. If I can justify myself to spend that much on it, I will get it. It would be better if I could buy a similar but cheaper product but yet to manage that.ally.0 -
Kadison - of course you can keep posting. I would say this however, I used to spend like crazy on beauty products (and I mean crazy), when we overspend like this it most often has an underlying cause, maybe a relationship problem, health, work, illness or weight maybe and it is better to tackle the reason or at least for me it was. Just think what you and your partner could be doing with the money, add it up for the last few months then do an average for the year. If DH & me hadn't overspent on rubbish for years we could have paid our mortgage off now.
Also does this stuff make you really happy? I found that it did for that day or so then it just stressed me out because it was more that I had to use up and makeup particularly takes forever.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler
