When you took it up the motorway did you actually do anything different or just drive for 40 minutes like normal?
In my old Octavia Diesel to force the re-gen you needed to do a slightly slower (60mph wish) speed but use a lower gear to keep the revs up. the higher revs creates an increased exhaust temp to help clear the DPF and i'm guessing slower speeds will also help keep the airflow and cooling effect over the pdf lower.Those who risk nothing, Do nothing, achieve nothing, become nothingMFW #63 £0/£5000 -
Take it to a proper garage and have them plug it into a computer and force a regen.
There are contidions that need to be met , on my BMW you have to have a certain amount of fuel in the tank and be driving at a certain minimum speed.
You will know when it has done a regen as you will be able to smell burning oil and the exaust will be red hot (mine was "ticking")
I had no end of nightmares with mine and in the end i got it removed and mapped out - car now goes like a train

I seriously wouldn!!!8217;t have any vehicle with a DPF unless I were to be driving many motorway miles on a frequent basis.
You don't need to do that. I do a 28 miles each way commute to work with 26 of those miles being main A road 60 limit. My car is now on 134k on its original DPF and monitoring the live data from the DPF pressure sensors the DPF filter shows no signs of any blockage. So no you don't need to drive many motorway miles on a frequent basis, you just need to not be doing short journeys all of the time.This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
