it's hard to explain , when i said bad , i meant like it wasn't that I harmed a child or anything.

It's because I didn't come up with ways to improve tthe room (there isn't really anything to suggest other than what me & my room staff discussed) and when I did , i amde the resources for it but it was lost so it looked like i was lying about doing it. And because i didn't share outside information as we just discuss stuff like this in meetings but they wanted me to do it all the time... and I did the same as everyone else with how the accident forms are done etc.

    That rings alarm bells.

last retail was 2014 how may childcare jobs have you gone through in the 3/4 years since then?

You don't get fired for doing the same as every one else.

cut your interpretation/spin on events and say what exactly has happened in this jobs time line to get you fired the previous childcare jobs if there is more than one since 2014.

Why the move from retail to childcare in 2014?

    Does it matter?

All the OP wants is advice on how to write their cv and get a job in retail. As always some posters are calling her a troll while others want to dig into their entire work history so they can belittle them.

OP, as greentree says most big retailers have their own application form which you fill in online. It is not a hard industry to get into as their are many retail jobs available. I would just check the local big chains and see what is available.

When you get an interview I would not mention the fact you were fired. Just say you decided that you did not want to continue a career in childcare.
  • Apricity - if you visit the job site reed, look under free courses there is an online short course there titled "Becoming Career Smart - How to sell yourself" when making a change in job, that maybe of help and it's free.

Why the move from retail to childcare in 2014?

My weekend retail job was to support me as I was studying full time in Childcare course
I was working for agency across different nurseries when I finished my final childcare course which led to me being offered a full time position at one of the nurseries I did bank staff for.

Then my granddad got very ill and wanted to be closer to home so moved to a closer nursery to home . Then due to personal circumstances including being punched by my dad at home during argument and a lot of arguments where I was being told i was to blame for my mums depression at home, i moved across the other side of town with my partner and couldn't get to there anymore so transferred to a different branch. I didn't like the nursery as I was being pushed out by the staff so finally went to where my most recent employment was.

I've not been fired from ANY job. I've always left and with good reason.

It's not funny and I am deeply upset. The others did not get fired but was talking to a work friend and she said what I was thinking. If the manager likes you , you are safe. If she doesn't then you are in trouble. I was doing what everyone else was doing and they are not getting picked up for that. I said to everyone it was my fault for my job loss I take full responsibility for it. But it is the highest grade of nursery and the manager has unrealistic expectations of the rooms and staff. We've all agreed.

Plus there is a slight discrimination issue going on in regards to my disability.

I wanted out soon anyway just would've liked to leave with a job behind me but its fine I'll find something.

I've already applied for 7 jobs.

And when the new employer subsequently ask for a reference what do you then suggest they do?

A standard CV template should do the job.

I would just have job titles and employers, with a brief outline of responsibilities.

I don't think the fact that you got sacked should go on your CV.

I understand what the OP means.

Do you to work in childcare or have you had enough? Retail isn!!!8217;t that hard and most employees in my experience have their own application forms.

Just be factual with your application. The place may have high standards and it just may not be the beat place for your to be the best employee at that particular childcare facility with those particular members of staff.

I've had enough , been doing it for 5 years.

my current job is honestly taking over my life and have no work/life balance.
It is honestly all just 'work' . It's not the best place for me as the manager has always had it in for me. If she likes you you are safe if not then she will do anything to get you out. already pushed 2 people out of a job. She also constantly spoke to me really rude and belittled me in front of other staff.

I was dropped in a lot of trouble by others ... not that they meant to but it happened more times than once.

I made little numbers with the days of the week and put them in a bag ready to laminate and put velcro on to stick on a board where the kids could attach the day and the date but it wasn't in the cupboard when I went to show the manger of my work and I know one of the staff in my room cleaned that cupboard and may have thrown them/it away.

I've not stated anything about being sacked. I just put

    Novemeber 2017 - July 2018
then where relevant i wrote "Available immediately"
I wasn't going to say i was sacked , but worried that they will tell whoever is my next job interview that they have sacked me.

Saying you want out of childcare needs the spin to back up why you are unemployed.

Doesn't exactly agree with your choice of thread title - "Just been fired ...."

So, if you weren't fired/dismissed by your employer how did your employment end?
