Marked aluminium windows - help needed!

Hi all,
I recently ordered new aluminium windows for my property at a cost of c. £20k which have been installed as part of extension and refurbishment works. The window company also supplied a number of pressings (basically thin sheets of Aluminium which cover steels etc. between windows so the glazed areas look to be one unit). These were delivered approximately 1 month ago and were stored in the original packaging in my garage as they weren't ready to be fitted, however last week we removed the packaging to fit them and noticed that they are all badly marked with circles from the bubble wrap. We have tried to remove them with water but to no avail. I have contacted the company who supplied them and they are saying that as I ordered them a month ago and they "don't know what conditions" they were stored in it is my issue and the cost to replace will be circa £800. If feel that if the packaging has permanently marked the pressings then, as they supplied the packaging and they have simply been stored in the garage, they should rectify the situation free of charge. If they had told us to remove the packaging because it may mark the aluminium we would have. We went for Aluminium because it is a robust product but appears to have reacted for some reason with the bubble wrap Would appreciate anyones thoughts as need to get this sorted ASAP so the works can progress and can get my house finished.
Thanks,
Ed

2 options, option 1 if they are painted use a proprietary car product. Start with tar remover and work up to T cut. If they are powder coated, get the RAL number and re spray with a rattle can. If you've gone for dark grey they will probably be something like 7016 which is readily available in spray can formSome people don't exaggerate........... They just remember big!0

Hi Kiran,
Thanks for the response. They are powdercoated black (RAL 9005 I think from memory) so this could be a solution but I would rather get it professionally done or the company replaces in case anything goes wrong (there are a lot of pressings, around 10 in total). I wanted to know whether I have a strong case against the company which I feel I do but they are not currently standing firm. They have suggested today that I try white spirit but won't put it in writing as it may damage them!

To be honest, it will probably work fine, try a small section as a test. If they are unusable at the moment then you lose nothing. If it's powder coated its fairly robust and can take a bit of elbow greaseSome people don't exaggerate........... They just remember big!0
