Choosing bathroom fittings?

Morning all
Stupid problems to have but here goes!
Trying to choose all the fittings etc that goes with a new bathroom.
What is preferable for bath / basin wastes - pop up, flip top etc? Didn't realize that some taps dictate what waste you have (those with the lever thing)
Some advice would be good.
Also, what's the thing to do with the side of the bath now?
Tiles or those plastic fronts?
My bathroom is really small and am trying to keep things simple (hopefully classy) so any ideas would be helpful.

We are just re doing our small bathroom and we have gone for a modern freestanding bath on legs to make the space appear bigger.
In the past, we have had issues with tiles bath panels (having to be broken when there was a piping issue despite us having instructed the original fitters to leave access by one tile for just that eventuality, and I hate the plastic ones.0 -
I prefer the pop up wastes that you click yourself, opposed to the ones attached to taps which I find awkward to find and unreliable.
You can buy reinforced bath panels that are strong and completely plain and flush. They will let you gain access and they don't flex or look cheap.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

We changed our bathroom last year and went for the best we could afford but also the simplest. Sink waste is pop up but accesible and we rarely fill the sink. After several failed bath wastes, we went for a good quality standard plug and waste.0

Thanks for input. I think I will go for pop up waste and a bath panel rather than tiled.
Whilst looking for taps I came across the water pressure question.
I don't know my water pressure only that I have a Combi boiler. How do i check the pressure?0 -
Modem and stylish. Thermostatic mixer valve on the wall, bath waste filler, click clack waste.
No taps at all0 -
Screwfix have some good value, nice quality, pop-up wastes. Remember there are two sorts - ones with slots (if the basin has an overflow) and ones without. Mine all have slots.0

Sounds good, can you point me in direction of an example picture of what you have described?0 -

One we did for a client. The mixer happens to be a Ideal standard one. But any recessed shower valve will do. The bath fills via the over flow , net result no taps getting in the way and easy to keep clean. The bath is a Villeroy-boch but any bath that is supplied undrilled will do. Speak to your fitters.0 -

Your plumber can check, but if you have a combi system then there shouldn't be a pressure issuez.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

And then of course you can increase the number of outlets on the valve and diverters, introducing shower attachments that can also be concealed.
Oh! The places you'll go!Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
