ParkingEye Ltd / Stirling Park Debt Collectors

Hi All,
Just joined as I need some advice for my wife who has received a letter today.
The original letter(s) came in from ParkingEye Ltd demanding the usual for parking too long in a retail car park in Bathgate, Scotland.
On looking for advice on this forum and others I was under the impression that as this happened in Scotland and is not a Council or Police parking fine then it can't be enforced.
However, now she has received a letter from Stirling Park Debt Collection Services on behalf of ParkingEye Ltd (I do have to add they have spelt this incorrectly in their letter, in fact they have three ways of spelling the company name) asking for payment to be made.
Extract..
"We are instructed by ParkingEyeLtd in respect of outstanding Parking Charges as detailed on the reverse.
Payment must be made direct to us within 14 days quoting reference REFERENCENO otherwise we may recommend to Parking Eye Ltd that they commence enforcement action against you. This could involve legal action through the Sheriff Court, with any Decision entered against you recorded on the public register and likely to affect your credit status and ability to obtain credit in the future."
Apart from having three variations of ParkingEye Ltd and random uppercase letters within the letter, they are also stating that my wife now owes £145.
So.. long winded way to ask.. but do we continue to ignore given that this is a Debt Collection agency or do we stump up the requested fee?
Thanks in advance!

Short winded answer. Yes.So.. long winded way to ask.. but do we continue to ignore given that this is a Debt Collection agency? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
