Good luck with your car boot tomorrow I did one today and the car was fuller that when I left the house this morning... not sure how that worked especially as I sold £70 worth of stuff... might just have been the way I packed it as it was pouring down and just wanted home!

You are doing great with your payments to your credit cards ... keep going xx

Early retirement rocks so I will be cheering you on :j

Is your credit card at 0%? If not, would you be able to get one do you think? I assume hubby is aware of the 60k mortgage .

Love to see all the little payments, I got just as much pleasure from those as from big ones. The big ones came from my salary but the little ones were 'invented' or 'free' money :T. Don't forget to look for money off coupons and make an overpayment of 50p or whatever when you use them :).

Don't overlook the big stuff though, it's so easy to let things tick along in the background. Are your utilities at the best possible rate etc?

Any news on new job, would it be less stressful or more money, or hopefully both!
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
    :) Mortgage Balance = £0 :)

  • Haven't posted for a few days as we have had some sad news in work, still in shock. :(

I have been doing little bits made a min payment of £50.00 to Barclaycard and a small payments of £3.19, all the small payments are adding up.

Made £another £41.00 at the car boot on Sunday to go towards our holiday spending. :)

Not done much ebay listing, need to rectify this on the weekend, had a few sales over the last few days.

A friend made me smile yesterday she bought me a bunch of flowers as a thank you for helping her get her new job.:)
  • Been busy over the weekend decluttering, set myself a challenge to find a 100 items to sell either at the car boot next week or on eBay. Made a good start and my living room is looking less cluttered.

At the moment the rain has stopped so going to tidy up the garden later, yesterday was miserable and cold, even put the heating on for a bit when I returned from the carboot :(.
Made another £45.00 at the carboot yesterday towards holiday spending money.

Another small payment to Barclaycard of £2.43. Going to at a look to see if there are any surveys to complete later.
  • A small payment of £1.03 made to Barclaycard.

Also made a good start on decluttering challenge and a nice pile to go to the car boot on Sunday.

Had a lovely afternoon out with the grandchildren yesterday at a local country park. Daughter paid for parking and we took a packed lunch with us.
  • Another small payment of £6.99 made to Barclaycard. So total debt payments in August £462.82.
Lunch today with my mother and son , early birthday celebration as I will be on holiday on my birthday, lovely to see them today. :)
Car in packed up ready for the carboot tomorrow. On two left to do before I go on holiday, hoping for a good turn out tomorrow.
This evening is going to be spent ebay listing.
  • Not long home from looking after the grandchildren until there mother got home from work. They are both excited to go back to school tomorrow, so we have been taking pens, pencils etc out of packaging and into pencil cases. I love new stationary, so can understand their excitement. :)

Need to make some debt repayments tomorrow and check with the local credit union if I can made a withdrawal tomorrow or Wednesday so I can buy some Turkish money. Hoped to go this morning but it was just too busy is work to slip out.

Today has been a NSD which I am pleased about. Hope to have another two before Friday. Made another £45.00 at the car boot on Sunday towards holiday spending money.
Decluttering is also going well, will do a bit more this week.

    Have a good evening all.
  • Another small payment of £4.18 to Barclaycard today.
