Avro Energy - VAT?

Hi.

I have sent Avro Energy an email asking this but can anyone here tell me if Avros tariffs include VAT?

Frustratingly they don't say, on their site, whether this is the case or not. Very annoying.

Thanks.

I guess it depends where you're looking, but when I look at my Avro Energy account online, where the tariffs are displayed on my profile, it says "All Rates incl VAT at 5%"

Update: I just looked up my tariff on https://www.avroenergy.co.uk/Prices, and the numbers match the ones on my account, so yes they all include 5% VAT.

On their home screens when you are seeking a quote there is a Tariff Information section in which there is a drop down box which gives you the option to select Excluded or Included VAT
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill

Thanks for this thread, I have exactly the same question as a DD for gas that I received from ZOG today for gas has increased 5% above the MSE Energy Club quote, I still have time to cancel, if the AVRO quote does include VAT it may prove to be cheaper?
MSE Energy club seems very clear in their FAQ's about VAT been included in the quote but I have my doubts that they are monitoring as closely as they should be, I have already posted on another thread here about pricing discrepancies with Cardiff energy with no reply!!

Yes, all figures quoted on Cheap Energy Club include VAT at 5% so we!!!8217;re able to give you a full cost comparison.

Do not confuse the DD amount with the unit price. The DD is just a payment on account and CEC simply divide the annual cost by 12 to get the monthly DD amount, the energy co may use a different method. Do not dump a cheaper annual priced tariff because the DD seems not quite correct, as long as the unit prices correspond there is nothing to get concerned about. All the unit prices quoted on CEC are the same as the VAT inclusive prices published on the Zog website.

I always work out the SC and kWh figures myself and presume VAT is included in the quote, then I divide my total by 12 to get the PCM DD price, in this instance with ZOG, their DD is 5% higher than MSE quote and also my figures exactly, hence my VAT not included concern. If this is slipping by the MSE energy club, they are no longer fit for my comparison purposes. However I don't have all the facts yet and if I have to lose face, so be it.

OK, I've found out what I want. Not easy though.

First I have to use "Get a Quote" to find that the current fixed deal is called Simple and Glory. Next, I go to the home screen and to the bottom right I see 'Prices'. I click on that, enter my post code, select Simple and Glory in the dropdown and I can view inc. VAT and exc. VAT because there is a dropdown on this page. Curiously Simple and Glory is not one of the ones marked as 'currently available'.

By trying both inc. and exc. VAT options, I see that the prices shown in 'Get A Quote' are indeed inclusive of VAT.

    It's never simple is it?

Thank you :T it would be so much easier for Avro to say that their quote includes VAT in the quote to remove any doubt
