Following someone on twitter but not getting their tweets

I have been following someone, a minor celebrity, on twitter for some time now and then a couple of months ago, I stopped getting their tweets. I thought maybe they had blocked followers who were not friends, but in that case wouldn't I get a message to say I was blocked? So I thought they had changed their id but they put a message out recently and it appeared on a news story and it is the same id as always. I have changed to Unfollow and Follow again again but still not luck. Now I am wondering if there is some setting I need to fix as this might also explain
why I have not seen any tweets recently from some other people I am following. Anyone got any suggestions?

How are you expecting to receive the tweet, and how do you use Twitter (app, web, mobile, desktop?).
If you're following someone, their tweet should simply appear in your 'Timeline'. Hope that's not patronising!

beat me to it, seems to becoming prevalent, and the Twitter share price is suffering because of it.

Not that I've any shares in twitter, or even a Twitter account

Twitter denied yesterday that they shadow ban, although it does look like they may be doing something to make it less easy to see some Tweets.


In a blog post about the supposed shadow ban, Twitter says no:
We do not shadow ban. You are always able to see the tweets from accounts you follow (although you may have to do more work to find them, like go directly to their profile). And we certainly don't shadow ban based on political viewpoints or ideology.
