Electric screwdrivers

Chances are they need plugs.
If the drill is variable speed you can use that to finish driving the screws into the plugs.
Some homebase still have some Stanley fixings very cheap.
I have assumed the whole is deep enough.0 -

It depends on the masonry and how hard it is. I have a trio of makita drill/drivers with hammer action, and have used them for all sorts including masonry. I do have some brick in my house that is rock hard and needs me to get out the SDS+ that cuts through anything like butter.0

I'm wondering if anyone could recommend an electric screwdriver that could cope with masonry, having done some research a drill/impact driver might be what I'm after.
An electric screwdriver is the wrong tool for the job of drilling into masonry (you need a hammer-action drill as discussed).
Also, for a secure fixing in masonry, you do not want to drive a screw directly into the brickwork. You need a suitable wall plug for the material of the wall, and the task you are doing.0 -
Cant say what screws they are, just some odd screws in box so possibly the wrong screws for the job. Putting some brackets on the wall for a wooden planter, maybe should have gone for a bigger drill bit.0

A good sharp ( new ) masonry drill bit of the correct size for the wall plug & the screw & you will have no trouble at all.
