Hot Tub Filter Housing

Having a nightmare with a lazy-spa Vegas Hot tub that we're renting for a few days. The 'company' we've rented it from are useless. We were getting an E2 error and were told the filter needs changing. I managed to unscrew the filter housing ok a couple of times yesterday but now it is completely stuck. Am i being too weak or is there a trick to it?! Perhaps I tightened it too much last time...

It removes easily from the tub but once out i cant get to the filter.

Yep it just unscrews, it is on a rubber seal so can be quite tight.
The filter needs to be cleaned once per day, and replaced aprox once per week or more often if you keep getting e02
