SportsDirect Online - Part Of Order Refund

Morning All,
I'm just wondering if any one has any experience of sending part of an order back to SportsDirect for a refund. I know this might sound like a stupid question, but from the horror stories I've read online about returning things back to SD, I'm just wondering if its going to be less hassle sending the whole order back.
As a bit of background, I ordered two pairs of trainers on 20/7. The courier lost the package on 24/7. After a number of conversations with Hermes, I reported this to SD on 26/7 who chased up Hermes but didn't get back to me by the weekend. I went and bought one of the pairs I was expecting over the weekend as I'm due to go on hols this evening and I've just received an email saying that the package is due for delivery today. Obviously I'm happy to keep the one pair I didn't buy.
