Should I change energy supplier if I intend to move soon?

Hi all,
So my current gas and electric tariff is due to expire at the end of August and normally I’d be starting to shop around for a new deal with a cheaper tariff HOWEVER, I am currently in the process of selling our house and moving to a new one (hoping to complete end of September, start of October).
Shall I switch now to save defaulting onto an expensive year off with my current provider or do I wait and pay the increased amount for a short period and switch once we’ve moved? Obviously I don’t want to pay over the odds but I’m worried if I switch now I’ll be stung with early cancellation fees when we move?
Anyone have an advice or been in a similar position?
Thank you in advance!

Selling a house isn't a quick process, the actual Exchange could take 3 months so the safe thing to do is sign up for your present suppliers *best deal
*Most suppliers regard a house move as a Get-out-of-jail-Free card so far as exit fee's are concerned, some don't - Check with your present supplier what their policy is - If they do impose charges for a house move, Switch to another whilst you have the chance0 -
A home move cancels your contract without penalty.
Given all the other expenses of moving, a couple of months on a standard variable tariff at minimal summer usage is not going to add greatly to your overall financial burden. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
