How can I tell when a Virgin Media contract started?

Hi all
Helping my sister look for a cheaper broadband/TV deal and at the moment she has Virgin Media. Under the 'view contract' section of her account it says 'Unfortunately we don't have a digital copy of your current contract...' and on the 'view bills' section I can only see the latest 6 months' worth of bills.
Does anyone know how I can tell from 'my account' when this contract started and it's minimum term?
Many thanks
M.

Phone Virgin and ask?0

No, but phoning them to ask the question ought to be reasonably pain free? "Am I still in contract?" has always got an answer when I've had to ring them from work, and the answer's always been forthcoming.

Can she check her bank account online? Usually you can tell by tracing back the payments to VM, differences to the payment amount may denote the date she signed up or altered her contract. Usually VM tie you in to a standard 12 months.
If you really can't find out you need to ask, phone 150. But you can complain I've lost the UKTV channels and not happy (it's a current debate on here and on the VM forum) and say I want to leave, in contract or not.
I threatened to leave, I have 6 months left on the contract, they said I could, no penalty but I stayed in the end with £9 pm off the bill. BTW if you go this route you need to speak to retentions, the normal CS reps can't alter or cancel contract, they just give you waffle.0 -
If you ring and ask VM this question, they will probably put you on a new 12m minimum term anyway...No free lunch, and no free laptop

They'll try but I specifically asked them about the contract I had and they said no change. Others I believe have allowed themselves to be signed up for a fresh 12 months, which is a bit naughty on VM.0
